Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the sudden discharge characteristics of a dry battery by adding ethylenediamine hydrochloride to an electrolyte consisting of zinc chloride or that containing a small amount of salt such as NH4Cl, etc. CONSTITUTION:An electrolyte whose components are zinc chloride or that containing a small amount of salt such as NH4Cl, etc. and ethylenediamine hydrochloride are contained in the anode flux composition of a battery. For example, the battery is assembled by using an anode flux which contains MnO2, acetylene black, zinc chloride, ethylenediamine hydrochloride, and a small amount of additive, and NH4Cl as required. This battery which has both components of zinc chloride and ethylenediamine hydrochloride is excellent in sudden discharge characteristics, as compared with a battery which mainly consists of zinc chloride only. Besides, the battery becomes more effective by adding a small amount of NH4Cl.
