Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the utilization rate of the discharge of a dry cell, by using an expanded graphite as a conductive assistant of the positive manganese-dioxide mixture of the dry cell. CONSTITUTION:A dry cell is constituted by the use of a positive active material made of manganese-dioxide, a negative active material made of zinc, and an electrolyte made from either chloride or ammonium chloride. Either a part or all of the conductive assistant added to the positive mixture of the dry cell, is made from an expanded graphite. The ratio of the expanded graphite to the manganese-dioxide is preferred to be 10-25pts.wt. to 100pts.wt.; when the expanded graphite is used as a part of the conductive assistant, its proportion to the assistant is preferred to be over 10wt%.
