Abstract
PURPOSE: To scheme to improve high rate discharge characteristic and low temperature discharge characteristic by allowing organic solvent in a self-active electrolyte battery to contain N, N' -dimethyl imidazolidinone.
CONSTITUTION: As the electrolyte 7 of organic electrolytic battery having negative electrode 1 which is obtained by fitting lithium sheet under pressure onto nickel grid 2 and positive electrode 3 which contains carbon fluoride as main agent, single N, N' dimethyl imidazolidinone (hereinafter shown as DMI), or the solution of inorganic salt of lithium perchlorate etc, in the mixed solvent of N, N' dimethyl imidazolidinone with propylene carbonate is used. When the mixed solvent described above is used, it is desirable that one kind or more of propylene carbonate, γ-butylo lactone, and ethylene carbonate are contained, and the volume ratio of DMI for the solvent described above is 0.5∼2, especially above 1.
