Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve low temperature discharge characteristic by using electrolyte obtained by dissolving inorganic electrolyte into the mixed solvent consisting of propylene carbonate and dioxolane and thus lowering the viscosity of solvent of electrolyte and increasing the solubility of solute.
CONSTITUTION: As the electrolyte for organic electrolytic cell consisting of negative electrode made of light metal such as lithium and sodium and positive electrode having active agent of metal oxide, sulfide, and halogenide, the solution compound obtained by dissolving inorganic electrolyte into the mixed solvent composed of propylene carbonate and dioxolane is used. For example, the electrolyte is used which is obtained by dissolving lithium perchlorate of 1.5∼2.0mol in the mixed solvent consisting of propylene carbonate and dioxolane in 1:1 by volume. Thus, the viscosity of electrolyte can be lowered, and the solubility of solvent can be increased, and the discharge characteristic at low temperature can be improved.
