Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a battery which has a small decrease in its electromotive force due to aging, by the combination of a solid electrolyte made of lithium nitride, and a positive active material made of phosphorus iron selenide or phosphorus nickel sulfide. CONSTITUTION:A battery is constituted by using a negative electrode which is made of lithium metal foil or the like and provides lithium ions, a solid electrolyte made of lithium nitride, and a positive active material made of phosphorus iron selenide, phosphorus nickel sulfide or a mixture of these compounds. Here, the positive active material is added with 0.1-50vol% of a metal powder such as lead, copper or iron powder which conducts electrons. The grain diameters of the positive active material powder and the former added metal powder are preferred to be below 1,000mu, especially below 250mu. By the means mentioned above, a battery which has very small aging change in its electromotive force can be obtained.
