Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an annealed iron steel wire material with excellent flexible characteristics by holding an iron steel wire at a temperature higher than recrystallization temperature for a constant time after heating it to annealing temperature, and then by running it in cooling water while heating the wire. CONSTITUTION:An iron steel wire material 1 is extended between the 1st current supply ring 2 and 2nd current receiving ring 3 and is fed with a current to be heated up to annealing temperature. Then while it is wound around the 3rd current supply ring 5 through a guide hole 4, a small current is flowed to supplement radiated heat to hold the material at a temperature higher than a recrystallization point for a constant time. The wire material 1 is then entered into cooling water 9 and passed through guide holes 6 and 7 to reach the 4th current receiving ring 8. At this time, the material 1, while heated with a current supplied between the 3rd current receiving ring 5 and the 4th current receiving ring 8, is cooled gradually by running in the cooling water 9. Before it reaches the 4th current receiving ring 8 through a water removing wiper 10, its temperature rises to vaporize the water, removing the water completely.
