Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a dam having high reliability, by using discoidal rubber parts provided with a nozzle having a through-hole which is a little smaller than the diameter of a core, making a cable core pass through said through-hole, and airtightly connecting said rubber parts and a cylindrical sleeve connected to a cable sheath end. CONSTITUTION:As for an airtightness holding part, a rubber elastic body 12 is used, and the pressure side (the cable is filled with gas) is provided with a nozzle 12-1, therefore, not only contracting force of rubber but also a self-sealing action by gas pressure operate between a core 10 and a supporting rod 11, and the nozzle, and no gas leaks from the interface. Also, as for the space between the rubber elastic body parts 12 and an airtightness holding sleeve 14, the self-sealing action operates on an ''0'' annular projecting part 12-4 of the rubber elastic body parts, from the pressure side, by using a metallic ring 13, and a stable airtight part is obtained.
