Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent local stress from converging to a fiber core under high hydraulic pressure F, by laminating sealing members, which have a small coefficient of elasticity, from a partitioning wall provided to the intermediate part of a terminating metal fitting toward a pressure side. CONSTITUTION:In a cylindrical terminating fitting metal 3, a cable sheath 1 is fixed at one end across a partitioning wall 6 and setting resin 5 and a rubber elastic body 7 are packed to prevent high hydraulic pressure operating from the other end side from being applied directly to a core 2 having just been drawn out of the cable sheath 1. The setting resin 5 and rubber elastic body 7 are manufactured previously as one independent piece. To insert the core into the core through hole 7a of the rubber elastic body 7, a pipe having a greater internal diameter than the external diameter of the core is inserted and the core is drawn out by utilizing the pipe. Then, the annular projection 7b of the rubber elastic body 7 is fixed by being pressed with a retaining metallic fitting 8 and a cap nut 9.
