Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a heat roller from overheating when a temprature detecting element is abnormal by discriminating the level of the output of a temperature detecting element and by turning off a switching element when the output of the temperature detecting element is below a reference level a constant short time after a power source is put to work. CONSTITUTION:When the output of an AND gate 62 has a high level, a transistor 76 turns on. As a result, light emission diodes 77 and 78 turn on. Light beams from the diodes 77 and 78 reach the gates of thyristors 79 and 80 to turn on a triac as a semiconductor switching element 61 connected in series to a heater 7, thereby feeding AC power source to the heater 7. Therefore, when the output of the AND gate 62 has the high level, the heater 7 is still fed with the electric power and when the output of the AND gate 62 has a low level, the feeding to the heater 7 is cut off.
