Abstract
PURPOSE:To supply sufficient current to the light emitting semiconductor element at any ambient temperature and to drive the light emitting semiconductor element efficiently, by adding the control circuit of the current of the light emitting semiconductor element and the temperature detection circuit. CONSTITUTION:The ambient temperature is detected at the temperature detection circuit in which the thermister 11 and the resistor 12 are connected in series with the power supply terminal 10 and ground terminal. According to the detection output, a given current flows to the light emitting semiconductor element 1 when the ambient temperature is less than a given value, and when it is more than a given value, the current in the semiconductor element 1 is controlled with the control circuit 2 reducing the current of the semiconductor element with the increase in the ambient temperature. Thus, in any ambient temperature, efficient light emission can be made by flowing sufficient current to the semiconductor element 1 even any ambient temperature.
