CONSTITUTION:Plastic substrates 11, 12 to which laser beam transmits are constituted into a discoidal shape, and a multilayer film 13 is coated by leaving the central part and external circumference part at the back of each substrate. Each film 13 consists of three layers; an optical recording film 14, several hundreds Angstrom thick made of metal, and organic films 15 coated on both the sides of the film 14. The films 15 consists of organic substance such as glass, SiO2, TiO2, In2O3, and CeO2 which can transmit laser beam and cannot transmit active gas such as water vapor and oxygen existing in air, and the thickness is 500-10,000 Angstrom . As a result, the time aging of the recording characteristics can be avoided.
