Abstract
PURPOSE:To stop reaction between glass and Al to prevent corrosion of Al, by providing a chemically stable-material thin layer between the Al plate and glass. CONSTITUTION:Material 2 to prevent reaction between Al and glass, for example, a metal oxide or fluoride is caused to adhere to the surface of substrate 1 consisting of Al or Al alloy thinly and uniformly by evaporation, etc. Next, sodium glass 3 is caused to adhere onto this material 2, and recording medium 4 is formed on glass 3 after they are subjected to a prescribed heat treatment. By this constitution, a light and cheap substrate can be obtained.
