Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the heat exchanging capacity by subdividing a fluid to increase contact area between fluid pieces with numerous particles sealed into a container while agitating it.
CONSTITUTION: A container 1 is provided with a port 11 for introducing a fluid I such as high boiling point and high temperature oil and a port 12 for delivering it and a port 13 for introducing a low boiling point and low temperature fluid II and a delivery port 14 while porous plates 3 and 5 are provided. Numerous particles 4 with a size larger than the hole diameter of the porous plate 3 and a specific gravity larger than those of the fluids I and II are sealed into the container 1. When the fluid I is fed into the container 1 from the introduction hole 11 via the porous plate 3, the particles 4 fluidizes in the container 1 receiving a buoyance to subdivide the fluid I thereby increasing the contact area with the fluid II. The particles 4 are heated as the fluid I passes through the particle 4 layer to agitate the fluids I and II whereby the heat exchanging capacity of the fluid I and II is increased.
