Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of deep penetration in molten metallic zone and to eliminate defective welding by generating an arc by specified current specifying the diameter of welding wire and rotating the arc eccentrically at high speed. CONSTITUTION:A welding wire 0.8-1.2mm.phi in diameter is used, and an arc is generated by 500-800A welding current. A contact nozzle 6 is rotated by rotation of a gear 5, and the wire 7 is rotated eccentrically to the axis of the contact nozzle 6. Consequently, an arc 12 generated at the tip of the wire 7 also makes circular motion. Since the arc 12 itself is rotating, the molten metal 9 penetrates uniformly and deep penetration does not take place. Thus, it becomes possible to make welding applying high welding current to the small diameter wire 7. Thus, welding can be executed at high speed without forming deep penetration in the molten metallic zone.
