Abstract

PURPOSE: A welding torch which has an excellent workability and is able to interchange the electrode automatically, by loading the rotary drum with plural electrode blocks, and rotating this drum by 1 pitch each so that it is made to contact with the feed block.
CONSTITUTION: The loading hole 4a of the rotary drum 3 is loaded with plural electrode blocks 1 in advance. Subsequently, the feed block 22 is lowered by electrifying the electromagnet 27, the tip part is made to contact with the back end part of the electrode block 1 by pressure, a welding output from the welder is provided to the electrode block 1 through the feed block 22, and the welding work is performed. After that, in case the consumed electrode 2 is interchanged, a current to the electromagnet 27 is stopped, the feed block 22 is detached from the electrode block 1 by the spring 31, a current is made to flow into the motor 15, the rotary drum 3 is rotated by only 1 pitch of the electrode block 1, and the feed block 22 is lowered by making a current flow into the electromagnet 27 once again.
