Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain automatic dehumidification of air to be supplied to a defroster by actuating the compressor of a refigerator while the outside temperature is higher than an allowable level and by increasing the intake of the outside air of a low humidity while the outside temperature is lower than an allowable level, when a defrosting switch is switches ON. CONSTITUTION:When frosting is formed, a defroster switch 24 is switched ON, then a compressor 3 is actuated through an electromagnetic clutch 4 so that the intake air is dehumidified by an evaporator 1 to decrease the absolute humidity, when the outside temperature 25 is higher than, for example, 5 deg.C. When the outside temperature is lower than 5 deg.C, a control circuit controls an actuator 16 which drives a inside/outside air change door 15 so as to increase the outside air ratio to 100% to take in the outside air of a low absolute humidity. While all the air taken in is the outside air, the control circuit 5 controls a blower 12 so as to increase the amount of the outside air to be taken in for reducing the absolute humidity within the cabin and for increasing the flow rate through the defroster to remove the frost.
