Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove the draft feeling from one present in a room by providing air flow rate control means for controlling an upper part air flow rate so that it is in inverse proportion to a total air flow rate during a space cooling mode operation, and controlling the upper part air flow rate so that it is in proportion to the total air flow rate during a space heating mode operation. CONSTITUTION:Any of space cooling or space heating which is the mode of operation is selected by a heating and cooling changeover switch 1, and any one of 'low', 'high', and 'quick' which indicate air flow setting is selected by an air flow rate setting switch 2. When the air flow speed setting is 'low' and the operation mode is space heating, the ratio of the air flow rate of an upper blower 16 to that of a lower blower 17 is determined to 3:7, and when the mode of operation is space cooling, the ratio thereof is determine to 7:3. When the air flow speed setting is 'high' and the mode of operation is space cooling, the ratio of the air flow rate is determined to 4:6. In a case where air flow speed setting is 'quick', the ratio of the air flow rate of the blower 16 to that of the lower blower 17 is determined to 5:5.
