Abstract

PURPOSE: To connect the conductors made of copper to each other within a short time without softening the conductors, by connecting them through placing a silver solder between both conductors and irradiating a laser beam onto them and melting the same, when the conductors are connected to each othe with the silver solder.
CONSTITUTION: When the conductors 1 and 2 made of copper are conected to each other with a silver solder, the silver solder is kept between both conductors 1 and 2, and then, a laser beam is irradiated upon the silver solder, and thus, both conductors 1 and 2 are connected to each other. Since the laser beam used for this purpose is high in the energy density and a narrow area where the silver solder exists is partially heated at a rapid heating rate, deteriorations in the material quality caused when the whole said conductors 1 and 2 are heated to the softening temperature are prevented.
