CONSTITUTION:A gaseous mixture of oxygen with an inert gas such as Ar or N2 as a refining gas is top-blown into a steel making furnace from the same nozzle through a top blowing lance. The locus is a single locus such as triangular, square, ellipsoidal, star, chrysanthemum-shaped, sawtooth or trochlear locus or a combined locus thereof.
