Abstract

PURPOSE: A solution consisting of a specific polyol, a foaming agent, a reaction accelerator and a foam regulator and diphenylmethane diisocyanate are mixed at a specific ratio, casted in a mold and foamed to produce boxes with high heat insulation and high strength at low costs.
CONSTITUTION: (A) a solution consisting of (i) a polyol that is obtained by adding an alkylene oxide to diaminodiphenylmethane and has a hydroxyl value of 300W 700KOHmg/g, (ii) trichloromonofluoromethane in an amount of 30W60wt% based on component (i), (iii) a 33.3wt% solution of 1,4-diaza[2,2,2]bicyclooctane in dipropylene glycol in an amount of 4W9wt% based on the component (i) and (iv) a foam regulator and (B) 4,4-diphenylmethane diisocyanate are mixed so that the equivalent ratio of the hydroxyl in component A to the isocyanate group in component B becomes 1/0.9W1/1.3. Then, the mixture is poured into a mold for insulating boxes in a sufficient amount to give the products with 4W6 times the original volume of the mixture.
