Abstract

PURPOSE: A specific polyol and an organic polyisocyanate are foamed and cured to produce title urethane foam that has a substantially idealistic energy-absorption curve even in low density, high kick-off load and deformation recovery.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 15W30wt% of acrylontirile or a mixture thereof with styrene is grafted onto a polyetherpolyol of 2,000W8,000 molecular weight to give a graft polymer of 18W50 hydroxyl value. To (A) 100 parts by weight of the graft polymer are added (B) 10W50 parts of an aromatic amine or aromatic glycol-alkylene oxide adduct, (C) less than 10 parts of an aliphatic glycol, (D) an organic polyisocyanate in such an amount that the isocyanate index becomes 100W115, further a foaming agent and a catalyst. Then they are foamed and cured.
