Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to perform an easy and accurate setting of torque and speed characteristics for the subject motor by a method wherein a saturatedly magnetized part and a non-magnetized part are provided respectively on a field magnetic pole. CONSTITUTION:A magnetizing device 14 has a cylindrical main yoke 15a and an annular auxiliary yoke 15b located concentrically on the outside of the main yoke 15a, and an annular storing concaved section 15c is provided between the main yoke 15a and the auxiliary yoke 15b. A rotor yoke 8 is placed in the storing concaved section 15c together with a permanent magnet material 9 which is annularly arranged on the suface of the inner circumference of the rotor yoke 8. The permanent magnet material 9A is magnetized to a saturated magnetic flux region by applying carrent to a magnetizing coil 7. The ratio of the magnetized section and the non-magnetized section of the permanent magnetic material 9A can be controlled by adjusting the height of a controlling ring 16. Accordingly, the total amount of magnetic flux generated at the field magnetic pole can be adjusted optionally and the torque and speed characteristics can also be set as desired.
