Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the size and weight of a motor for fluid transportation or the like, by inserting a rotor of a tubular permanent magnet into a nonmagnetic tube and by providing a stator winding on the peripheral surface of the tube to rotate the rotor. CONSTITUTION:A tubular permanent magnet 2, in which diferent magneti cpoles are alternately provided along the circumference, is inserted into a nonmagnetic tube 1 and secured by spokes 3 on a shaft 5. Other tubular permanent magnets 9, 11, which are secured by spokes 8, 10 on the shaft 5 and have N-poles on the outside and S-poles on the inside,are provided at both the ends of the former tubular magnet 2. A magnetic pole 20 equipped with a winding 22 is provided on the peripheral surface of the tube 1 so that the magnetic pole 20 is located in a position corresponding to that of the magnet 2. Other permanent magnets 23, 24 are provided in positions corresponding to those of the former magnets 9, 11. The magnet 2 can be rotated while the shaft 5 is buoyed up in the tube 1 by the magnets 23, 24. A driving force can thus be applied to a fluid in the tube 1 by a compact device.
