Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately and effectively magnetize both a main magnetic pole and a position detecting magnetic pole with synthesized magnetizing magnetic flux by securing integrally magnetizing yokes for the main magnetic pole and the position detecting magnetic pole and simultaneously energizing the magnetizing coils of both yokes. CONSTITUTION:Magnetizing coils 7a-7d are wound serially, for example, on four projections 5a-5d respectively of the shape corresponding to the configuration of the main magnetic poles formed on the inner peripheral surface of a magnet material 1 to form a magnetizing yoke 4 for forming a main magnetic pole. Then, magnetizing coils 12a-12d are wound serially, for example, on four projections 10a-10d of the shape corresponding to the configuration of the position detecting magnetic poles formed on the lower end face of the material 1 to form a magnetizing yoke 9 for forming a position detecting magnetic pole. After both yokes 4 and 9 are integrally secured, the magnet material is disposed at the prescribed position, the coils 5a-5d and 10a-10d are simultaneously energized to magnetize the material 1.
