Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of the title roller and to enhance its magnetic characteristic by using anisotropic ferrite magnets provided with a groove extending in the shaft direction between or downward between each magnetic pole. CONSTITUTION:Cylindrical anisotropic ferrite magnets 1 are fixed to shaft 2, nonmagnetic sleeve 3 made of aluminum, stainless steel, or the like is fitted around the circumference of magnets 1, and especially groove 4 extending in the shaft direction between the N poles and S poles of magnets 1 are formd to reduce the weight of magnet 1 markedly. When the axes of easy magnetization 5 are oriented in the direction of the arrows, the direction of magnetic flux from the S pole to the N pole becomes such as shown in the short dash line. As a result, formation of the grooves do not lower the magnetic force of the ferrite magnets and a light magnetic roller superior in magnetic characteristic can be obtained.
