Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary to examine magnetic poles of a permanent magnet and to stick a register mark by specifying a position for magnetizing the permanent magnet of a rotor on the basis of one fixed point of said rotor. CONSTITUTION:A ring-shaped ferromagnetic material 3 to be magnetized is laminated and fastened to the shaft 4 of a rotor 1. An excitation winding 11 is wound round the inner peripheral face of a magnetized core 6 so that adjacent electromagnetic poles 10 become heteropolar. Then, a frame 7 on the right end face is provided with a guide 2 having a key fitted in a key way 4a of the shaft 4, to constitute a magnetizing device 5. A rotor 1 is inserted into said magnetizing device 5, the key mounted on the guide 2 is fitted in the key way 4a of said shaft 4, and the magnetizing position of the rotor 1 in the magnetizing device 5 is regulated. After that, an electric current is caused to flow through the excitation winding 11 to magnetize the ferromagnetic material 3 to manufacture the ring-shaped permanent magnet 3.
