Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplyfy the connection work between the plate group ear section and the strap, by pressure compressing the lead rod for strap penetrated with the ear section of the plate group to make said rod thick while welding through the conduction of the power. CONSTITUTION:A through-hole 3 is provided at the ear sections of an anode plate 1 and a cathode plate 2, then a plurality of said plates are assembled through a separator 4 to form a plate group body, and a lead or lead alloy rod 5 for strap is inserted through said hole 3 such that both end sections will project from both sides of the plate group body. Then an electrode 6 is contacted with both ends of said rod 5 to compress said rod londitudinally thus to inflate radially while simultaneously the power is conducted between the electrodes 6 and 6' to weld said rod 5 in the proximity of said hole 3. Consequently the joint between the plate ear section and the strap is made considerably strong while the work can be simplified and the automation is achieved.
