Abstract
PURPOSE:To suit the fabrication process to the fabrication on machine and to improve the high rate discharge characteristics and weight and volume energy densities, by constituting positive grids, negative grids, and intercell connectors with a one pieced both grid. CONSTITUTION:Positive plates 3 provided with positive lugs 2 connected to a positive terminal 1, negative plates provided with negative lugs connected to a negative terminal 4, and one pieced positive-negative plates 6 are used as plates. In the plate 6 a positive grid and negative grid are one-pieced spaced with an intercell connector 5 to form a both end grid, and positive active material and negative active material are applied on the positive grid and negative grid of the both end grid respectively. Thus fabricated, a specific intercell connecting member is needless to use, the single fabrication can be attained without welding the member, the high rate discharge characteristics is improved greatly, the weight and volume energy densities are high, and a battery which is easy to be maintenance free and to seal can be obtained.
