CONSTITUTION:Steel frames 1 and steel plates 4 are placed alternately to form a cell 3, and a group of electrode plates 2 is contained in the cell 3. Circumferential parts 11 formed by overlapping the frames and plates are welded air-tightly to form a battery container 12. One strap 8N (negative electrode side) of the electrode plates 2 is connected electrically to the battery container 12 through a conductor extension 9 in the cell 3. The other strap 8P (positive electrode side) is connected to output terminals 14 and a connecting rod 13, insulated by an insulator 10 from the cell 3.
