Abstract
PURPOSE:To greatly reduce the space occupied by a reciprocating transfer path in a bubble magnetic domain, by forming a part of the hole pattern formed to two conductor layers respectively into a pair of hole patterns which are inclined to the traveling directions of the intercrossing currents. CONSTITUTION:A hole pattern 12 of a conductor layer 1 and a hole pattern 22 of a conductor layer 2 which are crossing each other are provided to the layers 1 and 2 respectively. The hole patterns 11, 21, 13 and 23 having lengthwise directions vertical to a current directin 31 or 32 are provided close to the patterns 12 and 22. In case the applying direction of a current J1 is set at (a), a bubble magnetic domain having a steady part a1 of the pattern 11 is transferred as a1 d1 a0 d0 and based on the sequence a-d of applied currents. Then a transfer path shown by an arrow 41 is formed at the upper pat of the patterns 12 and 22 respectively. While a backward transfer path is formed at the lower parts of the patterns 12 and 22 as shown by an arrown 42 and based on the same sequence of applied currents. In such way, the reciprocating transfer paths are formed at the upper and lower parts that are held between a pair of intercrossing hole patterns, so that the space occupied by the reciprocating path is greatly reduced.
