Abstract

PURPOSE: A liquid fuel evolving little NOx and CO when burnt and constantly contg. much water, which is obtd. by adding a radioisotope-contg. solid to an aqueous emulsion of a liquid fuel and filtering the solid off after standing for a determined time.
CONSTITUTION: A radioisotope-contg. mineral such as monazite is treated with sulfuric acid, to remove impurities. The residue is washed with water, neutralized, dried, crushed, kneaded with a synthetic resin and injection-molded, to obtain a radio-isotope-contg. solid. An emulsion is obtd. by mixing water contg. a nonionic surfactant and foamed by agitation with 60W95vol% liquid fuel contg. a stabilizer such as methyl alcohol. Then the radioisotope-contg. solid is added to the emulsion and after standing for 12W48hr, the solid is removed by filtration.
