Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate operation and control, and effectively remove dirt such as proteins in the waste water from a slaughterhouse by removing coarse solids from said waste water then subjecting the same successively to flocculation and setting treatment, activated sludge treatment plus flocculation and settling treatment.
CONSTITUTION: A front stage quick agitating tank 2, a front stage slow agitating tank 3, a front stage flocculating and settling tank 4, an aerating tank 5, a settling tank 6, a rear stage agitating tank 7, a rear stage slow agitating tank 8, and a rear stage flocculating and settling tank 9 are connected in series and the waste water of a slaughterhouse removed of coarse particles through a screen 1 is passed to these. During this time, a sulfuric acid is added to the tank 2 from a pipe 10 to control pH to 5, and aluminum sulfate is added from a pipe 11.
