Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the quality of water having no problems in discharging by subjecting the desorbed liquid obtained by the nitrification treatment of night soil to a secondary treatment consisting of denitrification and nitrification, flocculating the secondary treated water and removing the flocs.
CONSTITUTION: The desorbed liquid obtd. by the nitrification treatment of night soil is passed through a denitrification tank 1, and a nitrification tank 2 maintained at ≤5pH successively, and enters the 1st settling basin 3, where it is subjected to solid-liquid sepn. The secondary treated water removed from the basin 3 is fed to a flocculating tank 4. In the tank 4, a flocculating agent is added and colloidal particles are flocculated. Next, this is fed to the 2nd settling basin 5, where it is subjected to solid-liquid sepn., and the liquid is discharged as treated water.
