PURPOSE: To obtain the quality of water having no problems in discharging by subjecting the desorbed liquid obtained by the nitrification treatment of night soil to a secondary treatment consisting of denitrification, nitrification and solid- liquid sepn. to propagate algae in the secondary treated water and removing solids such as algae.
CONSTITUTION: The desorbed liquid obtained by the nitrification treatment of night soil passes through a denitrification tank 1, and a nitrification tank 2 successively, and enters a settling tank 3, where it is subjected to solid-liquid sepn. The secondary treated water taken out from the tank 3 is fed to an algae tower 4. In the tower 4, algae are propagated, and by the effect thereof, the NOX-N and colloid in the secondary treated water are removed. The treated water removed from the tower 4 is fed to a centrifugal filtering and concentrating machine 5, by which the solids such as algae are removed, after which it is discharged as the treated water.
