Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively recover small floc pieces, fine particles, etc., present in separated water as well as keep the amount of separated water to be discharged per unit time in the same as in the conventional cases by a method wherein radial water-collecting troughs and circumferential water-collecting concentric troughs are provided an almost the same level each other.
CONSTITUTION: On almost the same level as radial water-collecting troughs 3, a large number of circumferential water-collecting concentric troughs 11 are provided, which are communicated only to the radial water-collecting trough 3. Thus, since water does not fluid rapidly in the circumferential water-collecting troughs 11, fine particles or small floc pieces floating in the separated water become liable to settle in the circumferential water-collecting troughs 11, whereby improving not only the recovery efficiency of fine particles but also the turbidity of the separated water. In addition, since the number of the radial water-collecting troughs 3 are the same as in the conventional apparatus, the amount of the separated water to be discharged per unit time and also the amount of raw water to be treated can be kept at the same as in the conventional apparatus.
