Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a deodorant raw material comparable with yellow ocher, by addn. of waste liquor etc., contg. iron ions of high concn. obtained by a waste liq. recovery process, to a waste liq. obtained in the pickling step of an iron mill to increase the iron content of a solid matter, formed by neutralization, to not lower than 30%.
CONSTITUTION: To an iron-ion-contg. waste liq. which is discharged from the pickling process of a sulfuric acid plant is added a waste liq. contg. iron ions of high concn. discharge from a waste liq. recovery unit of pickling process, or if necessary, a soln. obtained by dissolving iron scrap or iron powder, and the mixt. is adjusted to a mean iron content not lower than 30% of solid matter after neutralization and dehydration. Washing waste liq. from plating process, or waste liq. from rolling and degreasing process is also utilized. The neutralization produce is dehydrated, dried to produce raw material for deodorant, which is used in place of yellow ocher.
