Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the slag in a ladle from flowing out into a tundish by detecting the end time of the molten metal teeming from the ladle from the change in the amount of the molten metal in the tundish and ending the teeming at the time of teeming the molten metal from the ladle into the tundish. CONSTITUTION:The amount of casting determined with an arithmetic apparatus 9 and the amount of the molen metal in a tundish 4 by an arithmetic apparatus 10 are subtracted from the amount of the molten metal initially contained in a ladle 1 determined by a computing mechanism 8, and the amount of the molten metal in the ladle 1 is calculated. The amount of the remaining molten metal is converted to the head of the molten metal in the ladle 1 from the shape signal of the ladle 1.
