Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an overcorrection of an automatic equalizer or a divergence of a system, by providing a selecting circuit which opens a feedback loop when a temporary disturbance has occurred in the transmission line. CONSTITUTION:A receiving data RD which is inputted to a shift register 1 is operated with the extent of correction stored in a shift register 2, at every element by a multiplier 3, is added by an adder 4, and is outputted. This output signal is compared with an ideal value by a discriminator 5, its error is given to each element of an adder 6 from a selecting circuit 10, and it is controlled for feedback so that an output error of the discriminator 5 becomes minimum. In case when a disturbance has occurred in the transmission line and the receiving data RD has been varied suddenly, an error between the output signal of the adder 4 and the ideal value increase, a deciding circuit 11 drives the selecting circuit 10 and sends out the amount of errors of a constant value to the adder 6 instead of the output of the discriminator 5.
