Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize the pulse width of a comparator outputted signal by a method wherein the crossing angle is widened formed by an integrating circuit outputted saw tooth wave signal and a reference signal. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular wave signal S2 is generated by an oscillator 1 the pulse width whereof is approximately equal to the input voltage vs. maximum output voltage ratio of a chopper 5. The rectangular wave signal S2 is then processed in an integrating circuit 2 wherein a diode D is connected in parallel with a resistor R1 which connected in series with a capacitor C forms a CR time constant setting network, and a saw thooth wave signal T2 is yielded. The saw thooth wave signal T2 is next compared in a comparator 4 with a reference voltage L2 supplied from a voltage setting circuit 3 and then undergoes pulse width moldulation, which results in the generation of a pulse signal P2 that drives the chopper 5. Thus, a very stable chopper driving pulse can be generated for use in a chopper with a high voltage conversion ratio.
