PURPOSE:To generate the pulses which can be used so as to utilize the characteristics of a stepping motor to the maximum extent in a simple constitution, by combining an up and down counter, a full adder, a latch circuit, and a feedback circuit. CONSTITUTION:At the instant of starting, CLOCK 1 is fed to the up and down counter 1, and CLOCK 2 is fed the latch circuit 3. The contents of the up and down counter 1 increase with the elapse of time. The output of said output counter 1 is fed to the full adder 2. The output of the full adder 2 is fed to the latch circuit 3, and the output of the latch circuit 3 which is latched by CLOCK 2 is fed to the full adder 2. The output of the up and down counter 1 and the output of the latch circuit 3 are added in the full adder 2. In the carrying output of the full adder 2, one carrying signal is generated for every input of the specified number of CLOCK 2 pulses.
