Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the responsiveness and efficiency by generating subsequent pulses corresponding to a proper torque surplus amount through comparison between the allowable current value affording a certain surplus for the motor torque and the current value per cycle of the pulse to be fed to the step motor. CONSTITUTION:Allowable current value affording a proper surplus amount is computed by the allowable current value computing circuit 5 with the outputting of the pulse frequency signal B to the drive circuit 2 from the pulse generation circuit 1 receiving the target pulse frequency signal A. The output signal D is compared with the average current value signal C per cycle of the pulse to be fed to the step motor by means of the current value comparator 7. When D<C, it outputs the signal G because of a less torque surplus, while when D>C, the signal F and when D=C, the signal E is outputted to the DELTAf/DELTAt generation circuit 8 to determine whether any torque surplus exists or not. Receiving the output of the frequency measuring device 6, the DELTAf/DELTAt generation circuit 8 selectively controls the subsequent pulses corresponding to the torque surplus.
