Abstract
PURPOSE:To elevate an interruption function, by constituting a timer counter of high rank and low rank counters, and providing a timer interruption processing start address setting circuit which is capable of setting plural timer interruption start addresses in accordance with the contents of the high rank counter. CONSTITUTION:When a start timer instruction comes from a microprocessor, a switch 13 is connected to the side of a prescaler 11, a pulse obtained by frequency- dividing a basic clock from the microprocessor by the prescaler is inputted to a low rank counter 14, and counting is started. When the counter 14 outputs an overflow signal, an FF16 is set, its output takes AND with a timer interruptable signal sent from the microprocessor, is sent to the processor as a timer interruption signal, and enters into the interruption processing. An output of the FF16 is inputted to a high rank counter 19 through a switch 17 which is closed by a count start instruction, the counting operation is executed, and when it has ended, its count value generates a timer interruption processing start address, and the processing is executed.
