Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare the titled conductor with excellent conductivity and heat resistance by a method wherein an Al-Zr-Fe-Si type Al alloy is continuously cast and rolled and, after cold processing is applied under respective specific conditions, heat treatment is applied.
CONSTITUTION: Molten metal with a temp. of 950W720°C formed by melting an alloy comprising 0.10W1.0% Zr, 0.05W0.8% Fe, 0.04W0.3% Si and the remainder of Al and usual impurities is poured into a casting mold with a temp. of 80W 200°C and solidifed at a cooling speed of 20°C/sec. or more to continuously casting the same. While the obtained cast ingot is succeedingly cooled at a speed of 60°C/sec. or more, during a time when rolling is initiated at a temp. of 550°C or less and finished at a temp. of 350°C or less, thickness reducing processing of 40% or more is applied and, further, cold thickness reducing processing of 65% or more is applied. Subsequently, primary heat treatment is carried out at 200W400°C for 1W10hr and, next, secondary heat treatment is carried out at a temp. which is 30°C higher than that of the primary heat treatment and in a range of 250W500°C for 1W100hr.
