Abstract
PURPOSE:To utilize effectively an expansion energy of combustion gas by extending to an atmosphere, by providing a combustion cylinder between the two cylinders in which the crank shaft driven by a compression cylinder and the crank shaft driven by and expansion cylinder are combined. CONSTITUTION:There are arranged respectively a compression cylinder 7, expansion cylinder 17 and combustion cylinder 11. Crank shafts 18, 22 are combined by a chain 21, and a piston 16 is operated simultaneously with a piston 9. When the pistons 9, 16 come up, a suction is performed within the cylinder 7, and a expansion is also performed within the cylinder 17. When the pistons come down, the piston 9 performes a compression and the piston 16 also performs an exhaust. In this manner, two strokes are always conducted in parallel, so that the expansion energy of combustion gas is utilized by extending to an atmosphere, and heat efficiency is improved remarkably.
