Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the turning force of an internal combustion engine, by discharging exhaust gas forcibly through the provision of a plurality of exhaust turbines having a common turning shaft at each exhaust port of a plurality of cylinders.
CONSTITUTION: Exhaust turbines 3-1W3-4 are provided at each of exhaust ports 2-1W2-4 for respective cylinders 1-1W1-4 of an internal combustion engine 1. A turning shaft 5 connects all of the exhaust turbines 3-1W3-4 together and it is connected also to a flywheel 4. Here, since the exhaust turbines 3-1W3-4 are turned in the same way and with less pulsation by the function of inertial force of the flywheel 4, the inner spaces of the exhaust ports 2-1W2-4 are always evacuated. Particularly, at the latter half of the exhaust stroke of the engine, the inner space of a cylinder under the process of exhaust stroke is evacuated, so that a piston in the cylinder is acted by a force drawing the same upward. Thus, the turning force of the cylinders 1-1W1-4 is increased by discharging exhaust gas efficiently and forcibly, so that fuel efficiency of the engine can be raised.
