Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize a high output at a high speed, by connecting a PNP transistor in parallel to an NPN transistor for flowing out a current, which has been totem pole- connected, and making this PNP transistor execute a constant-current operation. CONSTITUTION:When the emitter area of an NPN transistor (TR)19 of the second constant-current circuit is made equal to the emitter area of an NPNTR20, the same current as a current flowing through a resistance 18 from an electric power supply terminal 2 flows to the collector of the NPNTR19. When the collector area of a PNPTR13 of the first constant-current circuit is made equal to the collector area of PNPTR16, the circuit is operated so that a current value which is equal to a collector current of the NPNTR19 is drawn out to the collector of the PNPTR13. Accordingly, it is operated as a normal constant-current circuit by compensating the shortage of hFE of the PNPTR13 and the PNPTR16. Therefore, not only high VDH is obtained at a high speed by an output terminal 4, but also there are no variations of a characteristic of an ''L'' level output current.
