Abstract

PURPOSE:To make frequency components common, and to enhance noise resistance, by driving the oscillation circuit of a high voltage generating means in synchronism to clock pulses for driving a microcomputer. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 4 receives latent image surface potential, calculates primary and secondary charging current values, and an optimum developing bias value, and drives the high voltage transformers of primary and secondary high voltage sources 7, 9 through high voltage driving circuits 6, 8 to feed charging currents to primary and secondary chargers 16, 17. A developing bias driving circuit 10 drives a high voltage source 11 for developing bias to add a prescribed bias to a developing roller 18. On the other hand, clock pulses having proper frequency are delivered through buffer circuits to driving circuits 13, 14, 15 to start oscillation of each high voltage source 7, 9, 11.
