Abstract

CONSTITUTION:A high voltage controller 30 is provided, with which the current values of transfer pre-electrification, transfer electrification and separation electrification, which are the optimum for the toner which is to be used, are selected and according to the selected current values, a transfer pre-electrifying unit 15, a transfer electrifying unit 18 and a separation electrifying unit 19 are made to be discharged. According to the specific charge quantity of the toner developed like this, the current value of discharge and the frequency of AC component are selected in the optimum values so as to form an image. Thus, the occurrence of the scatter of the toner at the time of transferring, the retransfer and the defect in separation, etc., can be prevented and the stable transfer and separation can be always executed.
