Abstract
PURPOSE:To uniform the head levels of synchronous signals at charging by reducing power supply current to an output circuit by the amount of the charging current of a clamping capacitor which is required at the arrival of a synchronous signal in a video signal. CONSTITUTION:In the entitled synchronous signal clamping circuit for a video signal, the video signal is inputted through a clamping capacitor C and, during the arrival of the head level of its synchronous signal, electric power is supplied from a constant current source 4 to the capacitor C through a transistor Q1 to clamp up the head level of the said synchronous signal and output the head level through an output circuit. At the charging time of the head level of the said synchronous signal, current flowing into a transistor Q6 is reduced by the amount of charging current for clamping. Consequently, the voltage fall at a resistance R10 is reduced and the level shifting amount of the head level of the synchronous signal of a positive polarity video signal appearing at a connection point 8 is reduced. Thus, the compressive reduction (depression) of the head level of the synchronous signal is corrected by the reduction of the said level shifting amount.
