Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain many sheets of superior copies having no photographic fogs through one time of picture exposure by exposing one side of a conductive screen, and forming a photoconductive member on the opposite side and an insulation member thereon thereby making one side conductive. CONSTITUTION:The upper side surface of a conductive member 2 of metal or the like of a screen 1 is exposed, and a photoconductive layer 3, and transparent insulation layer 4 are formed on the member 2 on the lower surface side, whereby a photoreceptor of which one side of the screen 1 is conductive is made. Negative polarity charging is performed by a corona wire 5 from the insulation layer 4 side of the photoreceptor 1, whereby the layer 4 surface is charged negative and the part between the layer 3 and the layer 4 to positive. Next, an original image 10 is irradiated, and electric discharge is caused by a coroa wire 7 applied with the AC voltage superposed with DC voltage of positive polarity in such a way that the surface potential of the layer 4 assumes positive polarity. In this way, the last latent image is formed in accordance with the bright part and dark part D of the image 10. Through this latent image, + ion current is flowed by a corona wire 14 to form the 2nd latent image on a recording body 15. This latent image is developed, whereby the good pictures having no photographic fogs are obtained.
